Total Protein Isolation kit for 2D-Difference in Gel Electrophoresis

Protein isolation is the first and most important step prior to two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis (2D-DIGE), the current benchmark for global protein expression profiling and comparative proteomics. This technology is extremely sensitive to impurities, pH, water quality, and quality of buffers. Poor quality reagents negatively impact the downstream 2D-DIGE process, difference in-gel analysis and biological variation analysis. The ITSIBIO ToPI-DIGE kit is the first validated kit in the market specifically developed for 2D-DIGE.

The ToPI-DIGE™ Kit contains a set of optimized reagents and standard operating procedures that allow basic and clinical research scientists to easily, conveniently and reproducibly isolate total proteins from human and non-human cell lines (attached and suspended), solid tissue and tumor biopsies prior to 2D-DIGE.

  • 2D-DIGE image of Human Breast Cancer Cell Lines Proteins were isolated with ToPI-DIGE Kit. 50ug of protein from “reference”, “test” and “ Internal Standards” were labeled with Cyanine dyes and loaded on the gel.
  • Each kit contains customized and optimized reagents for isolation of total proteins from cell lines and mammalian tissue allowing a smooth transition from the protein isolation step to the down stream analytical processes without the need to perform a buffer exchange.

ToPI-DIGE is optimized for isolation of total proteins from cell lines (K-0010-C) and mammalian tissue (K-0010-T) prior to 2-Dimensional difference in gel-electrophoresis (2D-DIGE).
